I am going to explain sewing step by step. Afterwards, you can download free pattern of the simple baby Sun hat at the end.
1. SIMPLE BABY SUN HAT SEWING STEPS
1 Download the Pattern from the below link (skip 4 to 7 steps and start from 8th step) OR follow basic measurement I am taking here, Length/Width should be 16 Inch.
Sewing Sun hat: Step 1
2 Half fold the fabric, in 1:2 ratio, see below image
Sewing Sun hat: Step 2
3 Now convert 1:2 ratio piece into square, in total we have 4 layers. Pattern User, Map your pattern here and start cutting.

4 Take one fold corner and make triangle of it, refer above and below image to undestand better.
Sewing Sun hat: Step 4
5 Take point from the corner and start making arc of 8 Inch.

6 Cut the marked arc, and you get the circle.

7 Shape it like cone.

8 Whether you used Pattern or done manual measurement from the above steps, you sholud have final cutting look like this below.

9 Sew lace on the edges of the circle.

10 We are using Bobbin Elastic for Gathers/smokes.

11 Mark 2 Inch away from lace/edge
Sewing Sun hat: Step 11
12 Start smoking or gathers by just have seam because we have elastic in bobbin.

13 For nice dimension on the Hat, give 3 to 5 layers of smocks, by doing simple seam in circular way.

Stick or tuck self-created Bow on Summer hat.
