Today I have clean up my wardrobe where I find unused Tshirts, So I have decided to Convert Tshirt into Top with basic steps of cutting and sewing. This sewing tutorial is no pattern dress where you need to do some measurement according to your dress/top and wear this top in summer and spring. A converted top is for 4 Year Baby, You can also make some other styles of Baby simple dress by using our Sewing tutorial and Free Pattern.

- CONVERT T-SHIRT INTO TOP SEWING STEPS.
I am going to explain sewing step by step, Afterwards, you can make it your baby dress by yourself.
1. CONVERT TSHIRT INTO TOP SEWING STEPS
1 I have lay down my old T-Shirt, in proper after doing it iron

2 Double fold it

3 We are starting with dress measurements, Length is 21 Inch.

4 Now mark neck width 5 inch

5 Chest width 8 Inch

6 This is our Cutting piece look with having armhole from neck to chest ( I had draw curve here)

7 There will be some gathers on neck part

8 Remaining part of the piece that I have, now I am going to use them wisely

9 Cut two Straps of 1.5 Inch.

10 I will attach biastape on armhole and on neck

These are two pockets from leftover fabric as I had XL Tshirt
12 Stitch lace on neck with gathers, You can also give manual gathers: Pull thread out and balance them gradually to give them nice gatherings. Still having issue? watch this tutorial

13 Mark point from 9 Inch below from neck

14 3 Inch away from the side, we are going to have two pockets so marked on both sides

15 Start with pockets, stitch biastape on top of pocket first with little gathers

16 Stitch biastape on all sides.

20 Attach biastape on neck along with lace.
