1. BABY PAPER BAG DRESS SEWING STEPS
1 We are starting with dress measurements, Length is 18 Inch.

2 Width is 16 Inch as it is going to be little baggy and boho style.

3 Fold it to cut

4 Now you need to mark two points here, first is 0.5 Inch away from edge

5 Now take 2 inch below point and draw an curve which falls out as armhole.

6 This is our Cutting piece look with having armhole of 0.5Inch in width and 2Inch in length.

7 Now take Strap of 8 Inch width, this strap attaches on armhole

8 Length of this strap is going to 2 Inch, this strap attaches on armhole

9 Neck line Strap has 7 Inch in full width for front and back
10 Above neck straps attach here below 1.5Inch.
11 Fold neck line top with simple lean seam.

12 Now we need to give gather through Manual gthering procedure for this, I had marked 1.25 Inch below point and now I am giving single which later on use for manual gather.

13 Pull thread out and balance them gradually to give them nice gatherings. Still having issue? watch this tutorial

14 Manual gathers startup look

15 A completed look of Manual gathers where we apply our neckline strap, here one more point gathers are called as smoking.

16 Pin 8Inch strap on this gatheres.

17 Sew the strap by folding the edges of the strap 0.85 inch only( as minimum as you can)

18 Front neckline is almost ready similarly make back bodice.

19 Stitch lace on the strap, I have used ricrac lace for embelishment but there is no lace use at back side of the bodice.

20 Bottom parts will beembeddedd withthe Same strap, So attaching the bottom Biastape

21 In this step, we are just near to complete our dress, Stitch straps on armhole. Below are three pictorial representation for better understanding.

22 Fold the bottom biastape, Take 3 Inch Tape so after fold it will become 1.5 Inch which gives good lenght to dress, you can add subtract that strap inches as well.
